We follow a magickal tradition of the Old Religion. It is a matriarchal system with a lineage defined through the High Priestesses who are the oracles keeping the tradition alive.
We worship the Goddess and her consort. Our Order is begrudging of its mysteries. Our Book of Shadows is extensive, but does not stand alone. In order to understand the use of this text, one must be trained in our practices.
After initiation, the third and crucial part of the oral tradition is added. Without all of these in combination, the book would be of little use to the untutored eye.

The tradition requires that teachers give a commitment of three years to their students. This is the minimum amount of time in order to complete the training. Those three years are as follows:
First year - There are 13 lessons taught at the first quarter moon. This is the time of learning as in days of old. Through these lessons, our beliefs are shared. Those students who wish to continue must request initiation into the inner circle.
Second year - Participation in our rites within the inner circle. All esbats, sabats and other ceremonies as defined by the year wheel are honored. Knowledge and wisdom are gained through practice, experience, and worship.
Third year - Leading our rites throughout the annual cycle, assisting the teaching of the first year and preparing to fulfill all duties of High Priests or Priestesses within the tradition.
Those who wish to hive and be acknowledged as an autonomous coven within the Order must complete an additional year of study and practice as a third degree. They must show their ability to communicate the oral teachings to continue the tradition as it always has been and shall be before this acknowledgement will be granted.
The student may choose another path at any time. The only commitment on behalf of the student is that they keep the secrets shared and return all materials granted them during training. Those who complete the training are granted all materials and secrets as their own to teach, read and recite for they have earned them through their study of the Order.
